Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) Displays & Flypasts

Below are the 2024 display dates (May to October), venues & timings for the BBMF:

L = Lancaster, S = Spitfire, H = Hurricane, D = Dakota.
5-Ship = Lancaster & 4 Fighters.
Known flypasts are in italics. Times are in BST.


Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Flypasts (Non-Airshow Events)

These BBMF flypasts take place at festivals, fairs, village fetes, steam fairs, car shows, museums, fly-in events etc and usually involve just one or two BBMF aircraft performing a flypast. Where stated by the event organiser, the BBMF aircraft(s) taking part in the flypast (L,S,H or D) will be added. The Google Map displays the flypast location.

Please be aware that the flypasts below can be cancelled or times changed at short notice due to poor weather or other requirements. Aircraft types may also be different based on their availability. (Times are in BST).

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight or BBMF presently consist of twelve aircraft:- 6 Spitfires, 2 Hurricanes, Lancaster, Dakota, and 2 Chipmunks. They are operated by the Royal Air Force and have been based at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire since 1976. The BBMF participate in scores of Air Displays, flypasts and events every year.

The display crew and groundcrew are all volunteers drawn from the Royal Air Force. The Flight routinely makes over 700 individual aircraft appearances during a year, ranging from major air shows to village fetes. The BBMF are usually represented at air shows with the Lancaster flanked by a Spitfire and Hurricane.
