Presented by Imperial War Museums, experience IWM Duxford like never before at this year's extra special Duxford Summer Air Show, commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
On D-Day, 6 June 1944, Allied forces launched a combined naval, air and land assault on Nazi-occupied France.
Codenamed Operation 'Overlord', the Allied landings on the Normandy beaches, marked the start of a long and costly campaign to liberate north-west Europe from German occupation.
To mark the 80th anniversary of Operation Overlord, the 'D-Day Squadron' returns to the skies of Duxford in their DC-3 Dakotas. The drama will build on Saturday 1 June with an aerial spectacle of dynamic flypasts and a mass parachute drop over historic Duxford airfield.
