Platinum Jubilee Flypast 2022

The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Flypast over Buckingham Palace will take place on Thursday 2nd June 2022. Rehearsals for this flypast will be held during the 24th, 26th and 27th May 2022.

The aircraft will fly into Area A, then B, C, D and so on...


Rehearsals (took place on 24 May 2022):
A large formation of military aircraft will form Her Majesty the Queens Platinum Jubilee Flypast on 2 June 2022; rehearsals for this flypast will be held during the period 24, 26 and 27 May 2022. The rehearsals will start in the vicinity of The Wash, The North Sea and overfly RAF Cranwell, Lincolnshire. The dispersal will occur over North Lincolnshire and parts of Yorkshire.

The rehearsals are usually held on the first date (24th May) unless the weather is too bad then it is held on one of the others days (26th or 27th May).

The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Flypast Rehearsal on ADS-B Tracker - 24 May 2022.

Flypast over Buckingham Palace (2 June 2022):
A large formation of military aircraft will form a flypast to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen on 2 June 2022.

The flypast will start in the vicinity of The Wash, The North Sea and Southwold, Suffolk and Southend then route from the hold via Swaffham and Thetford and Colchester towards London to overfly Buckingham Palace. The dispersal will occur to the south and west of the London Control Zone over Kent, Surrey, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.

The flypast will see 70 aircraft, including the iconic RAF Red Arrows and historic Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, put on a spectacular show over London.

Area E (between 12.40 and 1.15pm BST, not below 2,500ft).

Red Arrows Route for the Jubilee Flypast:
Below is a Google Route Map of the Red Arrows, which are taking part in the Jubilee Flypast, on Thursday 2nd June 2022, which should give you an idea of the Platinum Jubilee Flypast route, as they fly into London.

The Red Arrows will take-off from RAF Scampton, take part in the Jubilee Flypast and land at RAF Fairford. They will then display at the Midlands Air Festival, at Ragley Hall, in Warwickshire, before returning to RAF Fairford.
