The winning photograph for July 2001

AS350BB Squirrel HT1 in mid Wales (Andrew Holmes)

This photograph was taken at Llanidloes in mid Wales last year. If you look close enough you may see the famous red cover-all of the red arrows (Red 10) sitting in the passenger seat. This was because the red arrows were meant to be doing a display, but the weather was too bad so one came in by helicopter to do a weather check. This photo won the junior section of the Royal Aeroclub Photographic competition 2000.
