Spitfire Mk.Vc (LZ844) has been brought over to the UK from Australia where it was displayed in the Queensland Air Museum. It is believed that LZ844 will now be restored to airworthy condition. It is has been built with parts from various aircraft including Spitfire Mk.VIII & IX as well as Mk.V, and has the propeller blades of a Fairey Barracuda. Thanks to Linda Chen for supplying the photographs of LZ844 on this page.

Also, thanks to Stephen Stead for supplying up-to-date photos of Spitfire Mk.XVIe (TE184).

Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar is now home to 4 airworthy Spitfires (as of April 2012):
TA805 Mk.IX (The Kent Spitfire), MK912 Mk.IX (Borough of Bromley), TE184 Mk.XVI (brought over from Germany in March 2012), X4650 Mk.I (restored with first flight in March 2012). Another 2 Spitfires are also being restored to airworthy condition:
RW382 Mk.XVI (expected to fly Sept 2012), and TD314 Mk.IX (expected to fly in 2013).
