Abingdon Air & Country Show 2026

From the Abingdon Air & Country Show Facebook Page (19 Feb 2026):

SHOW AVIATION UPDATE: We have a major change to this years show. Due to costs of both air display aircraft and the insurance for air displays and road closures we have had to reluctantly chop the Flying Display program - a first after over 20+ years to keep the show inside its smaller budget to survive so we hope you understand as to why.

However the good news is after much hard work between the Head of Establishment at Abingdon / Dalton Barracks, ourselves with alot of advice from the Military Aviation Authority we are after a two year absence re-allowed once again to host various invited civilian aircraft and helicopters to land for static viewing which will come and go through the day. Very limited military aircraft are hoping to support on the ground too.

Also, further good news is the whole show will now be moving back across to the west side of the airfield which is both better for accessibility, provides a concrete access track to / from the car park and showground aswell as much better for budding photographers with the sun behind you for most of the day. The first two re-confirmed helicopters for the Fly In are both Project 179s Westland Lynx Mk7 & the very rare Bell 47 H-1.

There will also be a series of predominently military flypasts of which we hope some are from the Kings Birthday Flypast directly from Buckingham Palace (more details tbc).

Further details on the above aswell as all the exciting ground attractions being planned as we go along plus ticket sales can be seen at: www.abingdonairandcountry.co.uk
