Battle of Britain Memorial Flight
Today, 17 July 2020, RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) received its Public Display Authority (PDA) from Air Officer Commanding No 1 Group, Air Vice-Marshal Al Marshall.
PDA is the culmination of the display work-up period, demonstrating that the Flight can safely and appropriately display its aircraft to the public this Summer.
Officer Commanding BBMF, Squadron Leader Mark Discombe said,
"I'm incredibly proud of the entire team. The lead up to today's success was a struggle, as the whole nation has felt, to achieve despite the global pandemic. The Flight looks forward to the rest of the season, to displaying the aircraft, and allowing the public to reflect and remember what our aircraft represent.
It is hoped that BBMF will be displaying to the public soon as the UK continues to recover from the COVID pandemic.
