Below is a list of questions and answers that the organisers of the Royal International Air Tattoo hope will help those people who had bought tickets for Saturday, July 12.

Some frequently asked Questions and Answers:

When was the decision made?
The decision to cancel the Air Tattoo was made at the earliest opportunity on Friday evening when it became clear that we could not guarantee public safety. RIAT staff have been working throughout this week to try and ensure that the car parks and showground were accessible following the heavy rain.

Are tickets available for Sunday?
No tickets will be on sale at the gates on Sunday. If you have a Saturday ticket please do not travel to Fairford.

When will a decision be made about Sunday?
A decision will be made about whether the show will open on Sunday by 4pm today. This information will be posted on www.airtattoo.com and sent to radio and television stations for broadcast.

What is the refund policy?
Please refer to the refund policy on this site. Those with Saturday tickets will be refunded but this will take at least eight weeks due to the volume involved. Enquiries should be directed to RIATrefunds@rafcte.com

To obtain your refund please send the actual tickets with attached stubs, together with your name, address, phone number, email address and a note of where they were purchased to:

Are Saturday Tickets Valid for Sunday?
Unfortunately Saturday tickets WILL NOT be valid for Sunday. This is due to health and safety requirements as we already have a capacity crowd and cannot accommodate Saturday ticket holders as well.

Will there be any refunds for additional costs incurred?
Unfortunately we are unable to cover any additional costs you have incurred. A full refund will only be given for the cost of the tickets and handling fee if applicable.

Will Park and View be open on Monday?
At this point, we anticipate that Park and View will be open on Monday 14 July.

Will any flying take place?
The flying display has been cancelled today.

Will the Vulcan still attend?
If the Air Tattoo is open tomorrow (Sunday) it is anticipated the Vulcan will still display however it will only appear in the air and will not land.
