Opening of New Extension and “Flight”
at the Museum of Army Flying, Middle Wallop
On the evening of April 16th H.R.H Prince Michael of Kent GCVO, patron of the Museum of Army Flying, will be in Middle Wallop to open the Museum's new extension. General The Lord Walker of Aldringham GCB CMG CBE the Museum's President will also be present. A champagne evening will be complimented with a special flying display from the Blue Eagles and the opening of a new art exhibition “Flight”. A Skeeter helicopter kindly donated by The Chamberlain Trust will be accepted on behalf of the Museum by His Royal Highness. Incidental music is by Sarah Mallock with a special musical display from the Band of the Army Air Corps.
From April 17th “Flight” the Museum's new exhibition of paintings and sculptures will be on show to all who visit the museum and available for purchase. Among those whose work will be included is Vivi Mallock deservedly one of the U.K's finest sculptors, and Gordon Rushmer, a Hampshire born artist exhibiting care of The Wykeham Gallery, whose work already forms a part of Her Majesty the Queen's collection as well as that of Nelson Mandela.
