Bournemouth commits to hosting another spectacular event in 2009

"Bournemouth commits to hosting another spectacular event in 2009."

A joint statement from Councillor Stephen MacLoughlin Leader of the Council and Mike Francis Chairman of the Bournemouth Tourism Management Board; “The event has been such a tremendous success and so incredibly popular with our residents, visitors and businesses that we are delighted to announce and confirm that Bournemouth Air Festival will be back for 2009.

The provisional dates for 2009 will be 20th – 23rd August.

Cllr John Beesley, Deputy Leader of the Council and member of the Bournemouth Tourism Management Board said; “The two year dream of a spectacular Air Festival has become a magnificent reality in the last 4-days to the delight of audiences young and old and from near and far. After the investment and hard work of the people involved – their vision, commitment and dedication it would be unthinkable to not be planning enthusiastically for 2009. Bournemouth Seafront, Gardens and Town Centre have proved to be the perfect arena for what is now the country’s biggest free Air Festival.
