Combining a spectacular air display with a host of ground activities, the Southport Airshow is an exhilarating and fun-filled experience that the whole family can enjoy.
The event promises to be one of the aviation calendar's most spectacular events, providing sunning views of the best jets, fighters, bombers, helicopters and aerobatic aircraft.
Jets, Fighters & Bombers
Running each day from 1pm until 5.30pm, the Air Show's main flying programme is second to none and features a wide range of military and civilian aircraft including the classic aeroplanes of the outstanding Battle of Britain Memorial Flight - the Spitfire, Hurricane & Dakota as well as the latest fast jets. This year sees the return of the stunning Red Arrows, the Typhoon and the Hawk who will amaze you with their precision flying and dare devilry during our action packed weekend.
In the Air…
Skydivers, Helicopters & Aerobatics
As ever the Southport Airshow promises to provide heart-stopping aerobatics displays, which will again feature the awesome Blades display team conducting head on passes of a few feet at closing speeds of 400 knots! We also welcome back the RAF Falcons as they parachute into Southport, skimming just over the top of the crowds to land within touching distance. Combined with the outrageous antics of the Guinot Wingwalkers, you'll be astonished at the audacity of these breathtaking aerial stunts. As if this wasn't enough the massive Chinook and Black Cats Lynx Helicopters will fly a range of different manoeuvres including high speed crosses and close formation work right in front of your very eyes.
