Cockpit-Fest 2007 Update as of 08.05.07
This year’s Cockpit-Fest event has attracted one of the best ever selections of advanced bookings with more than half the cockpits so far booked in being totally new to the event. The latest list of participants for Cockpit-Fest 2007 [Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th June 2007] has just been released and these eighteen [18] cockpits are:
Beagle Pup Srs 1 **; Hawk T.1 **; Harrier GR.3 **; Canberra T.22 **; Canberra PR.9 **; Vampire T.11 **; Buccaneer **; Delfin L29**; Shorts 360 **; Tornado F3 **; Venom; Hunter FGA.9; Lightning F.6; Vampire T.11; Hunter F.2; Vampire T.11; Jet Provost T.5; Delfin L.29; Canberra PR.9
Please note: cockpits highlighted by * - show a significant change from their last appearance at this event whilst those highlighted by ** are cockpits totally new to the event.
Instrument panels: Vampire FB.5; Jet Provost; Auster AOP.9; HS 748.
Cockpit Rigs – “cockpits in waiting” i.e. more than an instrument panels but not yet a cockpit: Seafire, Hornet F.1 *; and P.51
Special visitor - Auster V TJ398: A veteran of WWII. This is a complete aircraft, and is therefore over qualified to be a cockpit section, but never less a very welcome visitor to this event. This warbird, although a non-flyer, is a rare visitor to this area; take the opportunity to get up close to a rare type, make the most of it during this weekend.

Final details and booking forms for the AEROBOOT aviation and avionics sale have been despatched to previous ‘Aerobooters’. Anyone interested in receiving details should send a large SAE to the museum now.

SPECIAL GUESTS
The Raptor Foundation - with birds of prey, along with Delta the official Cockpit-Fest mascot
The 626 Squadron Research Project - a display of ongoing research, squadron records and visual displays of this WWII Lancaster Squadron.
Newark Millgate Museum (Sunday Only) – a display of artefacts, and a demonstration of there use, from days gone by.
