Cockpit-Fest 2010

The first cockpit has arrived on the Newark Air Museum site for this year's Cockpit-Fest event, which takes place on Saturday 19 & Sunday 20 June.
This exhibit is the famous 'Paper Plane', H.S.748 Srs.2 G-ORAL, which arrived safely on the museum site yesterday morning. Through the course of the next few days this will be joined by around twenty other visiting cockpits, including: 3 Lightning fighter cockpits; 3 Hunter cockpits and a range of World War II cockpits including iconic Spitfire, Hurricane and Mustang fighter cockpits.
These visiting cockpit displays will be supplemented by assorted: Instrument Panels & Aircraft Interior displays; simulators; military vehicles; model displays; flypasts by aircraft from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (on both days); plus the famous Aeroboot aviation and avionics sale.

Normal museum admission rates apply Adults £6.25, Over 60s £5.75, Children £4.00 and Family ticket [2 adults & 3 children] £18.50 and Gift Aided Admission Rates are also applicable.
The event is open daily 1000 – 1700 hours with last admission each day being at 1600 hours; please note that some visiting displays may start to leave site mid-afternoon Sunday – so we recommend that people arrive early so as not to miss out. If you have any questions please call 01636 707170.
