Lydd Airshow 2007 News Release

SECOND LYDD AIRSHOW PREPARES FOR TAKE-OFF!
London Ashford Airport has today announced plans for its second Lydd Airshow – and promises to make it even bigger and better!

Around 20,000 visitors attended the first-ever Lydd Airshow on Romney Marsh in September, far exceeding the organisers’ expectations. Now they’re gearing up for Lydd Airshow 2007, which will take place on September 1 and 2 – and they’ve already lined up some of the hottest air display acts to take part.

Airshow organiser Lisa Duncan said: “This year’s airshow was a fantastic success. We’ve been inundated with letters from the public, thanking us for a wonderful day out and urging us to do another event in 2007. We’ve also had extremely positive comments from the pilots who took part. They thoroughly enjoyed performing at Lydd and are keen to return again next year.”

London Ashford Airport’s managing director Zaher Deir added: “This is great news for the community. Visitors can expect even more outstanding air displays next year, along with plenty of ground exhibits and superb entertainment. It’s going to be another great-value, fun day out for the whole family.”

Airshow organisers have already begun taking bookings from ground exhibitors. Further details about displays and ticket prices will be released in due course. For more information, visit www.lyddairshow.co.uk or call 01797 322446.
