Kent Air Show, Margate News Release
Air Show changes name to represent growth of event....
The spectacular Flight Thanet Air Show which hit the South East in 2005, providing fun and excitement for the whole family, has officially been renamed The Kent Air Show, Margate.
The title has been changed to represent the expected growth of the event which promises to be one of the most spectacular aviation events on the air show calendar. After the success of the 2005 event, the organisers of the Kent Air Show are working tirelessly to ensure the event is even bigger and better in 2006. Endless work behind the scenes on the air display and ground activities will ensure the event is a dynamic and fun-filled experience for the whole family.
The name change encompasses the wider area of Kent, to recognise the impact the event has on the region as a whole. It is hoped that this change will engage the wider community to become involved and give the region and its businesses an event to be proud of and invest in.
The Kent Air Show will take place on the 17th & 18th June at Palm Bay in Cliftonville, Margate. The Air Show combines a spectacular air display incorporating the latest fast jets, fighters, bombers, vintage World War II aircraft, parachute displays and aerobatic aircraft with a host of interactive ground activities for the whole family.
Cllr. Latchford of Thanet Council said: “The change of the event name represents the importance of the event to the region and its expected growth. This magnificent event represents the perfect opportunity for the businesses of the region to invest in and gain association with one of the major and most important events for Kent. ”
