Kemble Air Day 2006 Press Release

Kemble Air Day 2006 Press Release

The Red Arrows will again return to Gloucestershire on Fathers' Day, Sunday, 18th June for the 10th anniversary Kemble Air Day.

To help celebrate the occasion this year's Kemble Air Day is expected to take on an international feel, with invitations to the Belgian, French, Polish and United States Air Forces. Replies are eagerly awaited! But it is vintage jets that usually make up the bulk of the flying display with the Delta Jets fleet of historic aircraft leading the way.

The Red Arrows arrived at Kemble in 1966 and left in 1983, when the airfield became a USAF maintenance base. The USAF has been invited to bring some of the aircraft that were serviced at Kemble during the 1980s and early 1990s.

Kemble Air Day is now widely recognised as one of the top airshows in the country, but organisers are keen to maintain its reputation as a relaxing family day out. The show at Kemble always tries to be slightly different and add a personal touch. The public can get up close to the flying display aircraft as most of them operate from a live apron within the public area.

Tickets for this year's Kemble Air Day go on sale on 1st March
