Heart of Scotland Airshow 2010

The Heart of Scotland Airshow 2010 will be staged over 2 days (5th and 6th June, 2010) at Perth Airport. The aim of this event is to Celebrate some of the many aviation anniversaries happening in 2010.

1. The 100th Anniversary of the FIRST Scottish International Flight Meeting staged at Lanark in 1910!
2. The 800th Anniversary of the Royal Burgh of Perth!
3. 70th Anniversary of The Battle of Britain!
4. 75th Anniversary of AST Aviation Training!
5. 50 years of AST Operations at Perth Airport!

The event also aims to raise money for some worthy local and National charities and have a GREAT weekend of aviation from the past, the present and hopefully International too!

Update:
The Heart of Scotland Airshow is delighted to announce that it will welcome the Tornado GR4 Role Demo Display for one day only on Saturday 5th June, 2010. Other Royal Air Force assets will include the RAF Hawk Display BOTH Days, RAF Tutor BOTH Days and The Red Arrows on Sunday 6th June only.

At the 2010 Heart of Scotland Airshow there will be much more than flying to entertain you. We will have a large range of stalls and activities to fill your day.

See the aircraft. There will be a large static park for you to see the aircraft providing the days displays, and also some of the aircraft based at Scone, Perths airport. Fairground. To help entertain the younger visitors we wil have a fairground. Market. The market will be the place to browse an purchase a whole range of goodies. Air Service Training: Air Service Training will once again open their hangar to the public. This will give you the chance to meet the instructors and trainees to chat about the work of AST and the courses that they run leading to qualifications in aircraft maintenance. You will also be able to see a range of aircraft that are not normally seen by the public. Meet the pilots: You will see them in the air, now you will have the chance to meet the pilots who provide the thrills.
