Following the enormous success of the inaugural concert last summer Headcorn Aerodrome in association with AMP Productions and Musical Associates, will be staging their second Headcorn Flying Proms Spectacular on Saturday 12th of August 2006.
“Magnificent Musical Maestro” – The popular and exuberant conductor Jae Alexander will once again guide the English National Orchestra through such stirring musical masterpieces including - Rule Britannia, The 1812 Overture, Planet Suite, The Dambuster's Theme and Jerusalem, as historic aircraft such as The Spitfire, Hurricane, P51 Mustang, a number of Tiger Moths and many others will perform a breathtaking choreographed aerial display. The event again rounding off with a stunning Hot Air Balloon Night Glow silhouetted against the evening sky this proved to be a highlight, which simply has to be seen again!
Among the entertainment prior to the concert the parachute club display will once again entertain and amaze and why not take to the skies yourself with a pleasure flight in a light aircraft or helicopter!
There is ample parking adjacent to the airfield and gates open at 4pm with the evening concert beginning at 7pm.
This picnic style event is the perfect way to spend a typically English evening in the heart of Kent, The Garden of England!
