Bournemouth Air Festival 2010 - Press Release

LEOPARD ON THE LOOSE!

July 27th 2010: Reports have confirmed there is a leopard on the loose in Bournemouth - but before everyone panics about a big, wild cat in the town, it is in fact, an’ 80’s fighter’ jet styled aircraft.

With less than 4-weeks to go until the much anticipated summer event, Air Festival organisers, in conjunction with Bournemouth Aviation Museum, have positioned the Leopard aircraft on the grassy bank by St Paul’s roundabout.

Vibrant red with starry touches, inspired by the new dusk display element to this year’s event, the aircraft is a reminder that it’s not long until the Festival.

Steve Rhymes, Bournemouth Aviation Museum Trustee said: “We are delighted to be supporting the Air Festival and working with the organisers – the redesigned Leopard look fantastic, it’s bright livery definitely gives the aircraft a great new look, we hope people will come and see it, and all the other great aircraft we have at the museum, after the Festival.”

The Bournemouth Air Festival Chichester-Miles Leopard Jet will remain in St Paul’s roundabout area throughout the festival until 23rd August. Jon Weaver, Bournemouth Air Festival Director said; ‘Last year’s jet on a roundabout was a great attraction, this year we have gone a step further with our very own Bournemouth Air Festival branded fighter jet.”
